MDR in One View

A Security Team You
Do Not Have to Hire.

Openbit watches identities, endpoints, cloud services and network activity around the clock. Analysts separate real threats from noise, contain approved incidents and give your team a clear record of what happened - without requiring you to build an internal security operations center.

Always Watching

Remove the nights-and-weekends blind spot.

Continuous monitoring across users, devices, cloud applications and network sources keeps suspicious activity from waiting unread until the next business day.

Human Judgment

Receive decisions instead of another alert queue.

Analysts correlate signals, investigate behavior and add business context so your team hears about credible threats rather than every technical event.

Fast Containment

Limit the impact before disruption spreads.

Approved response actions can isolate endpoints, disable accounts and block malicious activity while the analyst preserves evidence and coordinates next steps.

Business Evidence

Know what happened and prove what was done.

Written incident records and posture reporting support leadership decisions, cyber-insurance reviews, customer questionnaires and compliance conversations.

The MDR Operating System

The Technology Does the Work.
Analysts Make It Matter.

Four capabilities most small businesses could never justify buying separately - delivered together as one service, operated by people who do this full time.

Visibility

Monitoring

Continuous visibility across users, endpoints, the perimeter and SaaS applications.

  • Monitors users and endpoints across the network and SaaS applications
  • Watches identity activity in Microsoft 365 and Entra ID for account-takeover indicators
  • Reports on at-risk users, groups, systems and behavior
  • Profiles user and entity behavior (UEBA) to establish a baseline and flag anomalies
  • Performs external attack-surface review at the perimeter
  • Scans the dark web for exposed credentials and breach data
Intelligence

SIEM

Consolidated logging, cloud collection, correlation and retention in one analysis layer.

  • Consolidates traffic from web servers, VPNs, firewalls and custom applications
  • Collects through cloud APIs from Azure, AWS, Google and core applications
  • Stores data centrally in the United States for correlation and analysis
  • Retains logs for a period scoped to your compliance obligation, with extended retention available
  • Supports SYSLOG data ingestion
Automation

SOAR

Automated containment and tailored response workflows that act while the investigation continues.

  • Disables accounts or blocks malicious activity to mitigate threats quickly
  • Runs tailored automated workflows for incident response
  • Connects with firewalls, IDS/IPS and other security tooling
  • Continuously analyzes threats to improve automation
  • Revokes sessions, forces password resets and isolates endpoints under approved playbooks
  • Prioritizes incidents and manages alerts for efficient response
Expertise

24×7 SOC

Trained analysts who investigate, remediate, gather evidence and contact you directly.

  • Provides round-the-clock monitoring and response
  • Prioritizes and remediates anomalous behavior
  • Identifies root cause and gathers evidence for analysis
  • Links events to known vulnerabilities through threat-intelligence feeds
  • Escalates confirmed concerns to a human who contacts you directly
  • Hunts proactively through collected data and feeds findings back into detection rules
When a Signal Becomes an Incident

Speed Matters.
Sequence Matters More.

A fast response only helps when the right actions happen in the right order. Openbit pairs automation with analyst judgment to limit the damage while preserving the evidence you will need afterward - for your insurer, your clients or your examiner.

Review your response readiness
01
Prioritize

Confirm what requires attention.

Rank alerts, connect related events and determine whether the activity represents a genuine threat.

02
Contain

Limit the attacker’s options.

Disable accounts, block malicious activity or isolate affected assets through connected security controls.

03
Investigate

Find the cause and preserve evidence.

Trace the activity, link it to relevant threat intelligence and gather evidence for root-cause analysis.

04
Recover

Restore service and improve the plan.

Coordinate rapid recovery, communicate what happened and use the findings to strengthen future response.

Service Scope

Three Levels of Coverage.
One Operating Standard.

Every tier is monitored by the same analysts under the same process. What changes is how much of your environment sits inside the monitored perimeter - so a fifteen-person firm is not paying for scope it does not have.

Cloud-First Teams

Identity Essentials

For small, cloud-first teams running on Microsoft 365 with few or no servers. Identity is where most attacks on small businesses begin, so it is where coverage should begin.

  • 24×7 monitoring of Microsoft 365 and Entra ID
  • Identity threat detection and risky sign-in analysis
  • Behavioral analytics on user activity
  • Automated identity containment - disable, reset, revoke
  • Posture and compliance reporting
  • Endpoint agent telemetry
  • Network and appliance log collection
Most Businesses

Managed Detection & Response

The standard engagement for most small and mid-sized businesses. Endpoints, identity, cloud and application telemetry correlated in one place and watched continuously.

  • Everything in Identity Essentials
  • Endpoint agent coverage on servers and workstations
  • SIEM collection through cloud and application APIs
  • Dark web and credential exposure monitoring
  • Threat intelligence correlation
  • Vulnerability scanning and network insights
  • Full SOAR automated containment
Multi-Site & On-Premises

MDR Advanced

For growing or multi-site businesses with on-premises servers, firewalls and appliances - or a regulator asking for more than a cloud API can reach.

  • Everything in Managed Detection & Response
  • Syslog and non-API ingestion from firewalls, VPNs and appliances
  • Deception honeypots for early attacker detection
  • Extended log retention
  • Broader collection scope for multi-site and hybrid environments
  • Deeper reporting for examination and audit cycles

Package contents, retention periods and response authority are confirmed in your service agreement. Openbit scopes the appropriate tier against your environment, connected data sources and regulatory obligations during onboarding.

Beyond Detection

MDR Works Best
as Part of a System.

Detection improves when the controls around it reduce exposure, protect data and make containment possible. These services commonly operate alongside MDR.

Endpoint EDR

Behavior-based detection and containment on every managed endpoint.

Vulnerability Scanning

Continuous scanning to surface the threats most relevant to your environment.

Cloud Security

Identity and access management, encryption and threat monitoring for cloud applications and data.

Awareness Training

Phishing and social-engineering training that reduces avoidable human exposure.

Data Protection & Compliance

Encryption, secure storage and alignment with FTC Safeguards, HIPAA and PCI DSS requirements.

Incident Response

Investigation, root-cause analysis and rapid service recovery when an incident occurs.

Why Openbit

A Managed Service
With a Name Attached.

Plenty of providers resell a detection platform. What matters to a small business is who reads the escalation, who answers the phone at 3 a.m., and whether that person already understands how your business runs.

Direct Accountability

The engineer who scopes your environment is the one who responds when something happens. You are not account number 4,812 in a national ticket queue.

Security-Led Practice

CISSP-credentialed leadership. Security is the discipline this practice is built on, not a line item bolted onto a help desk.

Local to Central Florida

On site when the work needs hands on hardware, remote for everything else. Same time zone, same business hours, same accountability.

Operators, Not Resellers

We run this stack across our own client base every day. What we recommend is what we already operate and support.

Common Questions

What Organizations
Ask Before Signing.

The questions below come up in nearly every conversation we have with a small business owner. If yours is not here, a short call will usually settle it faster than a proposal.

We only have 25 employees. Are we really a target?

Yes, and the assumption otherwise is why small businesses get hit. Most attacks begin as automated, untargeted campaigns - credential stuffing, phishing, scanning for unpatched services - that do not know or care how large you are. Attackers then pursue the environments that look easiest, which is precisely the profile of an organization with good tools and nobody watching them.

We have no dedicated IT staff. Can we still run this?

Yes, and that is the common case. The service is fully managed: we deploy it, tune it and monitor it. Response actions are authorized during onboarding, so containment happens automatically rather than waiting for someone on your side to approve it at two in the morning. What reaches you is a plain-language escalation and a recommendation.

How does this compare to hiring somebody?

One security analyst covers roughly a quarter of the week and costs a full salary plus the tooling underneath them. Genuine round-the-clock coverage takes four or five people. MDR delivers that coverage as a service for a fraction of a single hire, with no recruiting, no turnover risk and no gap when someone is out.

How is MDR different from antivirus or EDR?

EDR is a product that detects suspicious behavior on an endpoint. MDR is a service in which trained analysts monitor that product - alongside identity, cloud and network telemetry - around the clock and act on what they find. An organization can own excellent EDR and still be breached if nobody reads what it reports.

Do we have to replace our current security tools?

No. The service is built to monitor across an existing toolset and ingests telemetry from what you already run. If something in your stack is genuinely working against you, we will say so during the assessment, but replacement is not a prerequisite for coverage.

What actually happens when you find something?

Confirmed threats are contained immediately using the response actions authorized during onboarding - disabling an account, isolating a host, blocking activity. You then receive a written escalation covering what happened, what was affected, what has already been done and what decision is required from you.

Will this support our FTC Safeguards Rule requirements?

Directly. Continuous monitoring, log retention and a tested incident response capability are explicit requirements, and MDR is the most efficient route to them for an organization that is not going to staff its own security operations center. Your auditors or examiners make the final compliance determination.

How long does deployment take?

Most environments are collecting and monitored within two weeks. Detection tuning continues for several weeks after that as the service learns what normal activity looks like in your organization.

Do we get access to our own security data?

Yes. Your log data and the analysis built on it belong to your organization, and you have visibility into what is being investigated, what has been triaged and what actions were taken.

How is the service priced?

Pricing is based on the number of endpoints and identities in scope and the tier selected, billed monthly. We quote after the environment review so the figure reflects what is actually being monitored rather than an estimate.
